Alec McEachern  is the firm’s President, and has been practicing law for nearly 25 years. Alec prides himself on educating his clients on the law and setting reasonable expectations for each case. He focuses in the fields of estate planning, probate administration, real estate, and tax law. Alec believes that maintaining open lines of communication and careful listening are the pillars to a successful attorney-client relationship.

Alec received his B.A. from the University of New Hampshire in 1987. After college, Alec served as an infantry officer in the United States Marine Corps from 1987-1990, as a Rifle Platoon Commander and Executive Officer with Bravo Company, First Battalion, Ninth Marines.  Alec graduated with honors from Western New England College School of Law in 1994 and holds a Masters in Tax Law from Boston University School of Law.  Alec is admitted as a member of the New Hampshire Bar and the United States District Court for the District of New Hampshire, and is admitted to practice before the United States Tax Court.

Alec lives in Portsmouth with his wife and their four children. He currently serves on the Board of Directors of Southeastern New Hampshire Alcohol & Drug Abuse Services, and Granite Bank’s Advisory Board.
